Fresh out of the Oven

First you go for a hike with your basket and pick the Wolf River apples in the abandoned orchard up on the hill across the road. Then you trek back to the Quayside pantry and make delicious flakey pastry. Core and slice the apples. We often prefer to leave on the skin for added toothsome texture. Add cinnamon butter and a little flour. Roll out the pastry and line your favourite local potter's pie plate . Voila...Deep Dish Apple Pie
